MOSCOW April 23. 2024 (Saba) - Vladimir Rogov, Chairman of the Coordination Council for the Integration of New Russian Regions, head of the “We are with Russia” movement, confirmed that Ukrainian forces withdrew from their positions and fled from the village of Osheretino in Donetsk.
Sputnik news agency quoted Rogov as saying: “Good news came from our army. The enemy abandoned its positions in Osheretino village, northwest of Avdiivka in Donetsk, and our men entered the village, and our flags were raised in the center,” pointing out that the village of Osheretino is the dominant height and is a major village along the defense line of the Ukrainian Armed Forces north of Avdiivka.
Rogov noted that the liberation of Osheretino would not only pose a threat to the militants of the Ukrainian armed forces, but would also help the Russian army launch strikes on this sector of the front.
Earlier today, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that units of the "South" group took control of the entire of Novomikhalovka town in Donetsk.
The Ministry of Defense said in a statement: “As a result of successful operations, units of the “South” group of forces completely liberated Novomikhalovka town, in Donetsk.”
