SANA'A April 28. 2024 (Saba) - The Deputy Prime Minister for Caretaker Affairs for Economic Affairs and Minister of Finance Dr. Rashid Abboud Abu Lahoum inaugurated on Sunday in Sa'ada Governorate the supply of a set of mechanisms and equipment to work in the agricultural side of the governorate funded by the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit at the Ministry of Finance.
During the inauguration, the Deputy Prime Minister confirmed that this equipment will be allocated to work in the agricultural field as well as in the field of roads, in addition to that it represents support for the fleet of the intervention unit of machinery and equipment operating in the province.
He pointed out that this comes within the framework of implementing the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, to pay attention to the agricultural aspect, and the directives of the President of the Supreme Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat in this regard.
Dr. Abu Lahoum pointed out that work will be done with the local authority agencies in the province in the coming days to partner to purchase new equipment for the executive unit in the governorate to carry out public works work in the districts.
The equipment will operate in a series of water barriers that have been identified and studied with the Ministry of Agriculture's irrigation sector and will start working immediately, he said.
For his part, the Secretary-General of the Local Council of the governorate praised the support of the Central Interventions Unit for the governorate and its previously implemented work, especially in the field of community initiatives, which are proceeding at a high pace, especially in light of the aggression's deliberate destruction of everything in the governorate.
Al-Emad praised the keenness of the caretaker Deputy Prime Minister to visit the governorate and follow up on all work on the ground, which reflects interest in Saada, which has suffered from neglect for decades.
The machinery and equipment delivered today include two buckets at a cost of more than 195 million riyals, three trucks at a cost of 168 million riyals, a tipper at a cost of 45 million riyals, for work on the agricultural side, in addition to two buckets at a cost of 97 million riyals, and a diesel tanker at a cost of 29 million riyals to work in the field of roads.
This equipment comes as a reinforcement of the fleet of equipment and mechanisms of the Central Intervention Unit operating in the governorate, which includes six trucks, eight buckets, six trucks, seven tippers, eight air compressions, seven concrete mixers and two bouquets.
