WASHINGTON April 30. 2024 (Saba) - A massive demonstration took place at the University of Texas in American of Austin city, in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, and in rejection of the United States’ support for the Zionist enemy entity.
CNN reported that the American police in Texas entered heavily armed and in large numbers to disperse the sit-in, and the police officers behaved violently towards the protesting students.
The University of California also called on local law enforcement authorities to assist the campus police in containing the ongoing student protests in support of Gaza and denouncing the Zionist aggression against the Strip.
The American University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee joined the revolution of universities supporting Gaza, calling for an end to the Zionist aggression and American support for the usurping Zionist entity.
The University of Florida in Gainesville announced that nine people were arrested on the university campus for violating the rules during the ongoing protests in support of Gaza and to demand an end to the Zionist aggression against the Strip.
University of Minnesota students began re-establishing a solidarity camp with the Gaza Strip days after it was dismantled, similar to the sit-in camps supporting Palestine in a large number of other American universities.
American media also reported that police forcefully dispersed a student sit-in at Virginia Commonwealth University calling for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Likewise, the names of the martyrs of the Gaza Strip were announced at Harvard University, and the American police suppressed the demonstrators using force.
Columbia University in New York began suspending student demonstrators from studying on the grounds that they did not adhere to the deadline for dispersing the pro-Palestine sit-in.
The pace of protests has escalated, taking place at American and European universities, in rejection of the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip and the genocidal massacres committed against Palestinian civilians in the Strip.
This comes at a time when university administrations are trying to suppress student movements, by calling for the dispersal of sit-ins and using force in some of them.
