GAZA May 2. 2024 (Saba) - 4,887 truck of humanitarian assistance arrived in Gaza Strip during April, chief of Gaza info office said as 1,166 trucks arrived through Rafah Crossing and 3,721 others through Karm Abu Salem.

Out of this total, only 419 trucks were let in to North Gaza, Salama Maaroof added in remarks carried by the Palestinian media center.

This means that 163 assistance trucks per day, in average, arrived in the Strip, he said, noting that "this figure is by far less than needed by our people, particularly in North Gaza, in conflict to American statements and Zionist allegations.. that 300-400 assistance trucks were let in daily."

While they are the neediest and most exposed to food insecurity and hosts 700,000 people, the northern areas received only some 8 percent of the total assistance trucks let in, Maaroof added.
