SA'ADA May 04. 2024 (Saba) - A meeting chaired by the Caretaker Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs - Minister of Finance, Dr. Rashid Aboud Abu Lahoum, in the presence of the Commander of the Fifth Military Region, Major General Youssef Al-Madani, and the Governor of Sa'ada, Muhammad Jaber Awad, discussed the level of implementation of community initiative projects in a number of the province’s directorates.
The meeting, which included the Chairman of the Rural Water Projects Authority, Adel Bader, and the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance, Kamal Khaled, reviewed the projects of initiatives being implemented in the districts of Haydan, Bani Bahr, Saqin, and Al-Zahir.
The meeting approved the dispatch of specialized engineering teams to submit a report on the need, conduct the necessary studies, and determine the quantity of materials required.
It was also approved to provide light and heavy equipment or rent equipment by the Intervention Unit to begin or complete the implementation of work in these projects.
The meeting approved the reclamation of agricultural lands in Al-Dhaher District, with priority given to lands cultivated with coffee, corn, bananas and other crops that have the potential for cultivation in the region.
