GENEVA May 04. 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) reported that the Zionist enemy continues to target women in its continuous aggression on the Gaza Strip since the seventh of last October.
Noting that more than ten thousand women were martyred and 19,000 others were injured as a result of the ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip.
UNRWA said in a press release published on the X website on Saturday that "the war in Gaza continues as a war on women," adding that on average 37 children in Gaza lose their mothers every day.
UNRWA said living conditions were particularly "appalling" for more than 155,000 pregnant or lactating women in the Gaza Strip, where they face difficulties in accessing water and sanitation.
For the 211th consecutive day, the Zionist enemy army continues its aggression against the Gaza Strip, with American and European support, as its warplanes bomb the vicinity of hospitals, buildings, towers and homes of Palestinian civilians and destroy them over the heads of their inhabitants.
The ongoing aggression of the occupation on Gaza led to the death of 34,654 martyrs, the injury of 77,908 Palestinians, and the displacement of about 1.7 million people from the Strip, according to United Nations data.
