GAZA May 06. 2024 (Saba) - The Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” warned on Monday that any Zionist military operation in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip would not be a “picnic” for the enemy army, at a time when fears are mounting about a possible invasion of the city.
According to the Palestine Online website, the movement said, in a press statement, that the steps taken by the enemy army in preparation for the attack on the city of Rafah, which is crowded with nearly one and a half million residents and displaced people, is a crime that confirms the insistence of the government of the terrorist Netanyahu to continue the war of extermination against the Palestinian people.
The movement stressed that the Palestinian resistance, led by “Al-Qassam Brigades,” is “fully prepared to defend the Palestinian people, defeat this enemy, abort its plans, and thwart its goals.”
It called on "the international community to take urgent action to stop this crime, which threatens the lives of hundreds of thousands of defenseless civilians, including children, women and the elderly."
Earlier, a member of the Political Bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas", Izzat Al-Rishq, said that any military aggression against Rafah will fail the course of negotiations, and will not be a picnic for the enemy army.
Al-Rishq said, in a press statement, “Any military operation in Rafah will put the negotiations in the balance, and it will not be a picnic for the enemy army.”
The Hamas leader held "Netanyahu and his government fully responsible."
