NEW YORK May 07. 2024 (Saba) - United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Tuesday called on the authorities of the Zionist enemy to reopen the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings "immediately" and stop the escalation in the Gaza Strip.
"The closure of the Rafah and Kerem Shalom crossings at the same time is particularly damaging to the already desperate humanitarian situation," Guterres said in a press statement.
He stressed the need to reopen the crossings immediately, warning that a "massive attack" on densely populated Rafah would be a "humanitarian catastrophe".
On Tuesday morning, the enemy forces stormed the Rafah border crossing and stopped the flow of aid to the Gaza Strip, as part of their ground incursion into the city of Rafah, which began yesterday morning.
