GENEVA May 09. 2024 (Saba) -The World Health Organization warned that the Zionist enemy's closure of the Rafah border crossing prevents the United Nations from bringing in fuel, without which all humanitarian operations will stop, and also hinders the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said on the “X” platform today, Thursday: “The amount of fuel in hospitals in the southern Gaza Strip is only sufficient for three days, which means that their work may stop soon.” He confirmed that one of the three hospitals is in Rafah. (Al-Najjar Hospital) is out of service due to the military operation in Rafah.
He pointed out that while the limited humanitarian operations urgently need to expand their scope, the Rafah military operation further limits our ability to reach thousands of people who live in miserable conditions without food, without health services and without adequate security, stressing that This must stop now.
It is worth noting that the Zionist-American aggression against the Gaza Strip caused a humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip, which has a population of 2.4 million people. It led to the death of 34,844 Palestinians, the injury of more than 78,404 others, and causing massive destruction in the Gaza Strip.
