HEBRON May 09. 2024 (Saba) - The Israeli army on Thursday took control of the historic building of Hebron local authority, in preparation for misappropriation.

Zionist troops closed the historic building and locked its doors using oxygen welding, WAFA news agency said.

One year ago, Israeli authorities advised Hebron authority that the old building would be evacuated and handed over to settlers.
This measure blatantly violates Hebron authority's ownership of its assets, chief of Hebron local council said.

The building is Palestinian heritage, Tieseer Abu Sonianah added, as the hearings of its title is "still at court of law, and the authority has all the legal documents proving its ownership".
