OTTAWA May 09. 2024 (Saba) - Palestinian associations and labor unions and Canadian civil society organizations (CSOs) Wednesday called for the use of new, strong instruments to end military trade with Israel.

Representing over 2 million people across Canada, the groups issued a joint statement urging "Ban weapons now".

Despite the foreign minister's verbal commitment to stopping approvals to permits of future arms exports to Israel, this is insufficient to correct Canada's collusion in Zionist military acts in Gaza, the statement read.
