Health Ministry: humanitarian disaster will result in closure of Hodeidah port
[17/June/2018]

HODEIDAH, June 16 (Saba) - Health ministry warned of US-backed Saudi-led coalition countries of targeting the port of Hodeidah and the consequent humanitarian disaster and health.

Deputy of Health ministry, Abdual-aziz al-Dailami said, in a press conference held on Saturday, targeting of Hodeidah port represents a war crime, especially in light of the suffering of the Yemeni people in tragic situations due to the continued aggression and siege.

He stressed that one and a half million citizens are malnourished and threatened with death, especially with the outbreak of cholera and other epidemics.

Al-Dailami pointed out that the ministry's stores are empty of medicines, medical supplies and solutions, which represents a humanitarian disaster for citizens, especially those suffering from chronic diseases .

Al-Dailami called on donors and international organizations to support health facilities to alleviate the suffering of patients.

The deputy of Ministry of Health condemned the attack on the Operations Room of the Health Bureau at the hospital of Al-Thawra Hospital.
