The Guardian: Zionist entity did not provide evidence to support its claims of association of UNRWA employees with Hamas
[22/ April/2024]

LONDON April 22. 2024 (Saba) – The British newspaper "The Guardian" said on Monday that the Zionist entity did not provide evidence for allegations that employees of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) are linked to the Islamic resistance movement Hamas.

This came according to the "Guardian" quoted an independent review of the work of UNRWA conducted by former French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna, commissioned by the United Nations in the wake of the Zionist allegations.

According to the review, UNRWA regularly provided enemy authorities with lists of its staff for auditing, and the Zionist government did not inform UNRWA of any concerns regarding any of its staff.

The Colonna review, drafted with the help of three research institutes and due to be published at a later date, makes clear that Israel has yet to substantiate any of its broader claims about the involvement of UNRWA staff in association with Hamas or Islamic Jihad.

The review noted that last March the Zionist entity issued public allegations that a large number of UNRWA staff were members of terrorist organizations, however, the enemy authorities have not yet provided supporting evidence of this.

The review stressed that the Zionist authorities have so far provided no supporting evidence and did not respond to letters from UNRWA in March, and again in April, requesting names and supporting evidence that would enable UNRWA to open an investigation.
