Speech by Al-Sayyid Abdul Malik Badruddin Al-Houthi on Occasion of the International Quds Day 1443 A.H.
I seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan, the outcast.
In the name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
Praise is to Allah, the Lord of Worlds. I believe that there is no god but Allah, the Sovereign and the Manifest Truth; and that Muhammad, our master, is His servant, messenger, and last prophet.
O Allah, confer Your Salat [prayers] and blessings upon Muhammad and the Family of Muhammad just as You conferred Your Salat [prayers] and blessings upon Ibrahim and the Family of Ibrahim. You are Owner of Praise, Owner of Glory! And be pleased with Muhammad good companions and all Your righteous servants and Mujahedin.
Brothers and sisters, peace be upon you, as well as the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
O Allah, guide us and grant us acceptance, for You are the All-Hearing and the All-knowing; accept our repentance, for You are the Most Relenting and the Most Merciful.
In the month of Ramadan, the month of obtaining Taqwa in all related areas in this life (actions, responsibilities, and positions), the month in which the Holy Quran was revealed {'as guidance for mankind and as clear proofs of guidance and criterion'}[ Al-Baqarah 2:185], the book of awareness and insight, Imam Khomeini called for instituting a day of every year as 'the International Quds Day' in Ramadan 1399 A.H. within a statement addressed to Muslims. His aim was to use that day to provoke Muslims and remind them of their religious responsibility towards their sanctities in Palestine, especially the Aqsa Mosque, towards Palestine as part of the Islamic Ummah, and towards the Zionist-Jewish danger, which threatens all Muslims; to keep the feelings of rejecting Israel alive in the hearts of Muslims in spite of the efforts made by the enemies and their proxies (Munafiqin) to create an Israel-friendly environment and introduce the Israeli enemy as a friend and an ally; to keep the Palestinian cause alive in the hearts of Muslims as part of their faith-based, ethical, and humanitarian commitments; and to create an occasion that can help raise awareness, which is the first requirement in the battel with this enemy, and mobilize all Muslims.
With these important considerations in mind, preserving this occasion is important, as it also voices the right position towards this issue. Over time and due to the new developments and changes, as well as the clear and apparent deviation of among the sons of the Ummah, the importance of this day increases, especially when taking into consideration their negative and bad efforts to dilute the position, change the view towards that enemy, and turn from what used to be viewed as fundamental facts by them, by some Arab regimes, and some of the regimes in the Islamic world, which have taken the Israeli enemy as an ally and cooperated with it under the title of normalization of ties.
The first requirement for confronting the Israeli enemy is awareness. In this context, the Quds Day plays an important role in raising awareness and reminding people of those clear and fundamental facts that should be taken as the starting point for taking the right position.
The first of these fundamental, clear, undeniable facts is that the Israeli Zionist entity and behind it the Zionist lobby in the world are an enemy of Islam and Muslims, and they should be taken as an enemy. This is very true! The reality has proved it, so it is of the clearest, strongest, most observable, most undeniable facts backed by the reality of the establishment of the Zionist entity, its history, actions, practices, and policies, since the beginning of the Zionist movement to the current occupation of Palestine.
The Israeli entity is founded on committing crimes, usurping lands, expropriating rights, committing most heinous crimes, and occupying Muslims' lands in Palestine and other countries.
These practices are hostile practices. What could constitute hostility if not murder, extermination, forced displacement, destruction, occupation of land, violation of honor, and all forms of aggression? Indeed, no hostile act but has been committed by the Zionist entity and turned into a constant practice and a normal behaviour it keeps at! A little bit of that, or a limited part of it, is hostile enough.
In addition, their hostility towards Islam and Muslims is not only a practice but also a religious belief and a culture to the Israeli enemy, for it is a practice that has religious, cultural, and intellectual roots and has to do with very ill feelings. Indeed, they bear ill feelings towards Muslims.
These facts cannot be clearer, thanks to today's reality. How many wars it [the Israeli enemy] has launched? How many crimes it has committed? How many hostile practices are being committed on a daily basis? Murders, the crimes of destruction, crimes of rape, violation of honor, and all forms of crimes are being committed against Muslims, not to mention its comprehensive conspiracies and schemes on which it depends to target the Islamic Ummah in many aspects, and in many areas. We will talk about some of them.
In addition to the fact that these [practices] have become clear and gained a worldwide reputation, the Holy Quran confirmed this fact since it was still being revealed, in the early days of Islam: The Almighty Allah says, {'You will surely find that the most serious of mankind in enmity to the believers are the Jews'}[Al-Maidah 5:52]. It is the first enemy with the greatest enmity and grudge to Muslims, the enemy that hates Muslims most and pays the greatest effort to inflict harm on Muslims! It sticks to this enmity in its policies, schemes, conspiracies, positions, so it translates this enmity into action. So, it is not like some Muslims who say they take Israel as an enemy, but in reality, such claim does not go beyond their hearts and is not backed by any practical positions.
To show the extent of their enmity, Allah says about them, {'They wish you would have hardship'}[Ali 'Imran 3:118], which means what they love, wish, and desire most, what they work to achieve, and what represents for them a strong motive, is anything that causes you harm, danger, or hardship. So, their enmity goes as far as this: Their wish [for you] cannot be worse, and they have this motive to plot against you and to do everything they can do as long as it is harmful to you or bad for you, or it may put you in danger or has a bad effect on you.
{'When alone, they bite their fingertips in rage' }[Ali 'Imran 3:119], which means their feelings are full with intense enmity towards you. Therefore, their enmity towards you is not derived by a normal motive but by a strong motive. Their feelings are full of deep rancour against you, hatred towards you, abhorrence towards you, and intense enmity towards you, to the point that they bite their fingertips in rage in their secret gatherings and meetings.
Of what the Holy Quran tells about them is their enmity, conspiracies, and methods they use to target Muslims. The Holy Quran also introduces them as enemies, and Allah confirms this by saying, {'Allah knows your enemies best '}[An-Nisa 4:45]. It is Allah Who has told us that they are our enemies and that they feel deep enmity towards us and are derived by that enmity to harm us by using all means and ways. When telling us about that, Allah knows best our enemies and their enmity and how that may affect us as an Islamic Ummah.
The attention this issue has received form Allah was equal to that [its seriousness]. The Holy Quran paid much attention to the fact that they take us as enemies and bear enmity towards us, to what they would do as our enemies, and to how they move in many fields [against us] so that we take them as enemies, just as Allah said about Shaytan, {'Surely Shaytan is an enemy to you, so take him as an enemy'}[Fatir 35:6]. This is the most natural thing to do as a human: It is human nature to take as an enemy those who take you as an enemy, who move against you, and who seek to harm you, plot against you, fight you, commit aggression against you, and target you. It is human nature that the person takes his/her enemy as an enemy!
Therefore, they are our enemies, and we should take them as enemies and move seriously based on what Allah has revealed about them and what the reality has proved about them to the whole world—this should give us enough of a motive to keep moving forwards. We should also take our responsibility seriously before Allah towards ourselves as an Islamic Ummah and Muslim nations. We should realize that we are the ones who are responsible for standing up to that enemy, who takes us enemies, bears ill feelings towards us, keeps making plots against us and targeting us with all aggressive forms; and we should be aware of the fact that this enemy tirelessly and intensively keeps focusing its hostile efforts against us as Muslims. This should—if we still have common sense—provoke us, motivate us to move seriously, make us aware of our responsibility before Allah towards all of that and of the need to take the right action.
It is not enough that we admit that it is an enemy, as is the case with many: [They say] it is an enemy for real, but they stop there. Some do not even try to raise their awareness about that enemy and its conspiracies, plans, and methods against the Ummah so that they can know what to do and how to move to stand up to that enemy’s conspiracies in all different fields.
In addition, some proxy, hypocritical regimes and some hypocritical governments of deviation are making enormous efforts to persuade Muslims and the nations of this Ummah, including their own nations, not to look at the Israeli enemy as an enemy but as an ally and a friend that must be supported and worked with against those who take it as enemy, stand up to it, stand in its way, and seek to thwart its plots and schemes.
This is what the Emirati and Saudi regimes, along with some other regimes like the Al Khalifa regime in Bahrain, are doing. They publically take this path and channel the efforts of all their media means (channels, newspapers, writers, all their media capabilities) into this task, which they made as the primary task for their media.
They are also moving towards changing their school curricula, even though their curricula do not bear any enmity towards Israel! However, they want for their curricula to promote a false and stupid view towards the Israeli enemy in order to inculcate a sense of loyalty towards the Israeli enemy into their generations and to make them look at the Israeli enemy as a friend and an ally whom they can cooperate with as an ally against the sons of this Ummah, against the Palestinian people, and against Mujahedin and all free people in this Ummah, those who are viewed by the Israeli enemy as a stumbling block in the way of achieving its schemes and conspiracies.
In the face of all their efforts, we should take the Quranic fact about their enmity towards us to heart and work on exposing the Munafiqun who take that enemy as a Wali in spite of the fact that Allah has forbidden that and made it clear that it is an enemy who should not be taken as a Wali: Allah (Glory be to Him) says, {'And whoever of you takes them as Auliya is indeed one of them'}[Al-Ma'idah 5:51]. So, anyone who takes them as Auliya is of Munafiqin in the sight of Allah, Who made clear how serious this matter is!
Those who have normalized ties with the Israeli enemy and shown loyalty to it are using this banner (normalization of ties) to enter into alliances with this enemy and cooperate together. It is a misleading banner they are using as a means to establish an alliance with the Israeli enemy against the Ummah, so what peace is this?
Therefore, the closer they get in their relationship with the Israeli enemy, the clearer their enmity towards this Ummah gets! Indeed, when they get deeper and deeper in their loyalty to this enemy and in their alliances and cooperation with it under the title of normalization of ties, their hatred and enmity, as well as their hostile and negative activities, get clearer towards their own Ummah and the free people among the son of this Ummah, even the Palestinian people, whom they keep offending in their media outlets. They also try to inculcate a negative view of Mujahedin among the sons of the Palestinian people.
This position from the reality of the Arab world adopted by some traitorous, proxy regimes, which have adopted an approach that is based on treason and subordination and that denies all Quranic facts, represents a state of drawing back from well-known, indisputable matters and turning from what they once admitted and acknowledged. That is because they used to admit, show, and acknowledge—in the past, when their relations with the Israeli entity and the Israeli enemy were secret and when they had secret coordination—publicly and overtly that it [the Israeli entity] was an enemy to the Ummah and that it adopted an unjust position. They also used to acknowledge that supporting the Palestinians is a must, as well as confronting the conspiracies of the Israeli enemy. However, in the end, they denied those fundamental facts and denied the indisputable matters, which the Ummah take as principles. They even started to renounce the Aqsa [Mosque], sanctities, the Palestinians, and Mujahedin, whom they now consider as enemies. The closer they get to the Israelis, the more hostile and aggressive they are against the Palestinians, Mujahedin in Palestine, and the people of their Ummah.
However, all what they do to seek friendliness with the Israelis, to ally with the Israelis, and to cooperate with the Israelis is under the title of normalization of ties, which means loyalty, alliance, cooperation, in-public coordination, and publicly adopting positions with the Israelis against the Ummah, the Palestinians, and Mujahedin in Palestine. As they commit all of these forbidden acts—among the worst forbidden acts is loyalty to the Israeli enemy—that will not benefit them at all; it is not in their interest. Indeed, they are the only loser because of that [normalization], and it will not change the reality. The Israeli enemy will still take them as enemies, even though it may pretend to deal with them in media as friends or allies, yet in reality, it does not love them, like them, or respond to their loyalty with loyalty or true relationship. So, it will keep conspiring against them.
All they have done with their relations with the Israeli enemy, cooperation, and normalization—all they have done is that they have given it more control over themselves so that it goes further in misleading them, in corrupting them, and in exploiting them. These are facts that the Holy Quran has affirmed and that the reality has proved: {‘Here you are! You love them but they do not love you’}[Ali ‘Imran 3:119].
It [the Holy Quran] says to those who love [the enemy] and whose feelings have changed and showed love to the enemy (Israeli, Zionist Jews, and Jews in general, who are enemies to this Ummah), {‘Here you are! You love them’}: You changed your ideas and attitudes towards them, and you have held feelings of love to them in your hearts, but despite that all, they do not love you or respect you. In addition, they consider you as stupid, trivial, bad, and valueless, so they just take advantage of you, for you have given them control over yourselves so that they go further in misleading you: to mislead you in your belief, culture, thoughts, policies, attitudes, and in all your life affairs; and to corrupt you, your morals, your life, and your reality. This is what has really happened.
You support them [the enemies] against yourselves in the first place, not only against your Ummah. You have helped them against yourselves, and this is a big and horrible loss. Reality witnesses so.
Now in the Emirates (during a short time), even the Israeli media is talking that the Israeli Mafia has made the Emirates its most important base and most important den. It also talks about criminal, negative, and corrupting activities that the Israelis, the Israeli Mafia, and those associated with the Israelis inside the Emirates are performing.
In a while, the reality that the Saudi regime, the Emirati regime, and the Al Khalifa regime have got to will go public. They even provide the Zionists with nationalities; they give them the chance to have the nationality, and they offer them what they do not even give to their people. They seek friendliness from them more than they seek it from their people. They do for them what they do not do for any other people of the sons of this Ummah. Despite all of that, they will eventually lose.
The second fact of the facts affirmed in the Holy Quran and witnessed in reality is that the Israeli enemy is corrupted and a corrupter and that it builds its activities, goals, life-history, and behaviour on corruption and causing corruption on the earth. It is not a normal entity like all human entities in order for you to be able to live side by side with, adapt to it, or have understandings with it so that you can enjoy normal relations with it. It is an entity based on corruption: It is corrupted in its formation, and the plan of imposing it in the region is based on this [corruption] and aimed at enabling it to play a role of corruption and destruction. Its culture, belief, way of thinking, attitude, policies, goals, and plans are all based on corruption and promoting corruption on the earth; they are all destructive and bad.
This is a fact that they Holy Quran has affirmed in Allah’s saying, {‘You will certainly cause corruption on the earth twice’}[Al-Isra 17:4]. Their whole position has been based on this basis: causing corruption on the earth.
Allah also says about them, {‘And they strive to spread corruption in the land. And Allah does not like corruptors’}[Al-Ma’idah 5:64]. The corruption they cause is not simple or easy; it is the most dangerous, the evilest, and the most harmful corruption. Its harm is extreme, and it affects all aspects of life: It corrupts the whole life with all it contains.
Their efforts to cause corruption in all fields are an evil act that is hostile and aimed at the Ummah. This shows that the nature of the conflict with them includes all fields because they, with their deviation and corruption, target all fields: the political, the cultural, and the intellectual fields. They wage an extensive, misleading war, for which they have devoted huge capabilities and in which they have mobilized many of their proxies, even from those who are affiliated to Arabs and Muslims but devote their pens, writings, positions, and actions at the cultural level, the intellectual level, and the media level to serving the Jews, to misleading the Ummah, to changing the principles of the Ummah, as well as its correct vision, in order to replace them with wrong, misleading concepts that get the Ummah to lose, to struggle, and to lose its intellectual wisdom, correct vision, and criterion in distinguishing between right and wrong, the truth and falsehood, or wisdom and foolishness. They extensively focus on this direction. Their efforts in this field are increasing, and so are their activities in the media fields, in the Internet, in social media, and in educational curricula. Their efforts are extensive to a great extent, and they have been working on it for a long time.
Allah tells us about them, {‘They purchase utter misguidance and want you to stray from the way’}[An-Nisa 4:44]. They seek (with what they do, with their policies, with their efforts, with their activities, and with their plans) that you stray from the way. What they want is not just a latent will with no action or plans; instead, it is a will that is the basis of many practical activities in all fields to mislead and deceive this Ummah.
At the moral level, they are waging a fierce, extensive war to corrupt moral values in society and to spread evil, moral corruption, and all that encourages it [moral corruption], leads to it, contributes to it, or draws to it. They do what the Shaytan does; they take in mind all traps and nets that they can trap people with, as well as all means of temptation and all means of psychological corruption, using different ways and extensive methods. In this era, they have used all capabilities and great means at the levels of media and policies that control people and affect them even in their costume, their behaviour, and the nature of their relations. What they do regarding this is extensive: {'And they strive to spread corruption in the land. And Allah does not like corruptors'}.
At the economic level, they have corrupted the economy of the Ummah and led the Ummah to hit the bottom. Allah says about them, {‘The disbelievers from the People of the Scripture and the polytheists would not want you to receive any good from your Lord’}[Al-Baqarah 2:105]. They do not want us to have any good from Allah, not in religion nor in life [sustenance]. They have spread usury until it has become a main, primary part of the economic policies in the Islamic world (in all Islamic countries). They are the ones who moved with their methods (slay, deceiving methods) to make the Ummah turn away from domestic production so that it becomes a consuming market for the products of its enemies and pours all its wealth into the pockets of its enemies. They have disabled domestic production in the Islamic Ummah and made it lose its faith-based motive to move economically and seek to become a strong Ummah that fulfills its responsibilities, stands against its enemies, and remains faithful to its religious, faith-based commitments. They have gotten the Ummah to what it is at now, to the extent that many of the Muslims (economically) think that it is impossible for them to develop economically, to achieve self-sufficiency, or to produce high-quality products, etc.
At the social level, they seek to disintegrate the family. To that end, they mainly focus on woman-related banners to separate the family and disintegrate it from the inside. They seek to isolate women by pointing out a specific direction to them in which women are separated from others and have their own demands and orientation. This is seriously misleading, for the reality of human society takes the family as its fundamental block.
Their purpose of misleading and corruption is to weaken Muslims, deprive this Ummah of all elements of moral and material strength, inclusively control it and dominate its thoughts, way of thinking, culture, attitudes, land, person, wealth, potentials, and everything. They want the Muslim to have no awareness, rationality, correct understanding, wisdom, right vision, morals, and values. They also aim to empty him/her of his/her humanity and even human nature: They endeavour to dirty that human nature and drive the human away from his/her natural values, such as feelings of might, real freedom, and rejecting injustices. The enemies are even used to distort concepts, even the concept of freedom, as they have changed its meaning to encompass corruption, filthiness, villainy, evil, degeneracy, and obscenity.
They seek to damage the morale of the Ummah and make it lose Allah’s support, help, and victory; their goal is to make the Ummah deserve Allah’s wrath and abandon its religious values, principles, morals, and commitments as well as its religious and faith-based responsibilities so that Allah becomes angry at the Ummah and deprives it of His help and victory. The enemies know that this is what can enable them to control the whole Ummah.
However, if the Ummah returns to its pure and correct principles, turns back to its values, moves according to Allah’s guidance, follows the example of the Prophet, and pays efforts in accordance with Allah’s instructions and teachings, it will gain Allah’s victory and help on the one hand and will be protected from their influence and infiltration attempts that target the Ummah on the other hand. Then, it will achieve triumph. That is because the reality of the enemies, which relies on corruption, destruction, and misguidance, is fragile and weak, and they will inevitably vanish.
One of the most important weaknesses they suffer from is that their disappearance is inevitable. As Allah tells about their corruptive and destructive role, He also tells about their inevitable demise, {'And when the second warning would come to pass, your enemies would [be left to] totally disgrace you and enter the temple [of Jerusalem] as they entered it the first time, and utterly destroy whatever would fall into their hands'}[Al-Isra 17:7]. He also says, {'But if you return [to sin], We will return [to punishment]' }[Al-Isra 17:8].
They become a source of great harm and evil on the Ummah when the Ummah surrenders, abandons its responsibility, or remains loyal and obedient to them. It is when they make the Ummah obey them and be loyal to its enemies that they can inflict great harm, evil, and serious impact on the Ummah. On the contrary, provided that the Ummah moves on the right basis, it will have Allah’s help, support, and victory.
One of the important facts is that whatever the extent of the enemy’s evil, harm, influence, and power, as well as however it exploits the Ummah’s intellectual and cultural emptiness and the lack of cultural immunity among some people who have lost their faith-based, cultural, intellectual immunity and were infiltrated and exploited by the enemy, (even so) it is still a loser and will certainly come to an end: Its corruptive, unjust, and misleading entity will vanish. Similarly, all those who have been loyal to the enemy and obeyed it—either by supporting it or by abandoning their religious, faith-based responsibilities and commitments to take position against the enemy—will lose.
Allah (Glory be to Him) gives an important promise in the Holy Quran, which is His saying, {‘O you who have attained faith, whoever of you turns back from his religion'}. This comes in the context of forbidding taking enemies (the Jews and who are with them of the Christians, who are Auliya to each other) as Auliya or racing towards them. It is in this context that this blessed verse comes: {'O you who have attained faith, whoever of you turns back from his religion—then Allah will bring a people whom He loves and who love Him, humble towards the believers, mighty towards the Kafirin. They strive in the way of Allah and do not fear the blame of any blamer. That is Allah’s grace; He brings it to whomever He wills, for Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing'}[Al-Ma'idah 5:54].
This blessed verse shows that Allah (Glory be to Him) will bring a group of people who have these important, great, and obvious characteristics when others turn from religion, from religious principles, from fundamental religious values, from the positions that Allah guides us to, and from the responsibilities which are an essential part of this religion and of its instructions, law, principles, and teachings. If people turn away from them and walk away from them, {‘then Allah will bring a people’}, who have great characteristics, the first of which is {‘whom He loves and who love Him’}: they have this great, sacred, special relationship with Allah (Glory be to Him).
While some of the people of this Ummah tend to love those wicked, corrupting, and evil enemies (the worst of the worst ever) in spite of all evil they do (crimes, [evil] behaviours, misleading, and one-sided love, {‘Here you are! You love them but they do not love you’}[Ali ‘Imran 3:119]), those people whom Allah promised [to bring] are characterized as being the ones who enjoy the love of Allah (Glory be to Him), and they love Him, too.This is a great badge of honour that expresses their high faith-based characteristics.
Allah says about them, {‘humble towards the believers’}. When we see those who turned to form alliances ally with Israel, the Israeli enemy, and with America, we notice how mighty they are towards believers, how bad, hateful, and evil they are towards the people of the Ummah, and how daring, rude, and insulting they are against them. [We notice,] on the other hand, how humiliated they are when dealing with the Israelis and Americans; they get humiliated in the true sense of the word.
As for those [whom Allah loves], Allah describes them as, {'humble towards the believers, mighty towards the Kafirin'}. Their might over Kafirin is manifested in the strength, honesty, clarity, and steadiness of their position and in their serious and sincere efforts as well. They are not of those who dare not say a word, a word that can be regarded [by the other side] as provocative (even of too little provocation) to the Israeli enemy or to the American [enemy] and so they dare not say even a word to express that they are free from obligation to the enemies or clearly express their own position. On the other hand, these are mighty (mighty in the true sense of the word) in their positons, expressions, and speech. Their might is practically manifested as an honest, serious, and strong position and effective actions in all fields and in all these [things] they can do.
{'Mighty towards the Kafirin. They strive in the way of Allah'}: They never renounce this highly sacred obligation, for they definitely trust Allah and His absolute promise of giving victory. In addition, they depend on Him, and they [definitely] have a faith-based motive for practically responding. So, they work in all fields in response to Allah and for His sake, and they have the great, faith-based motive and move in the way Allah (Glory Be to Him) has set for them.
{'They strive in the way of Allah and do not fear the blame of any blamer'}, no matter how bad or horrible the blame might be. Nowadays, blame may often be placed on you by those who stood on the same side of Israel and that may take [various] forms (at the media level, at the political level, and even at the religious level thorough fatwas [religious verdicts]. That is because you have stood for the truth. Therefore, sometimes you can find how some institutions that introduce themselves as religious bodies adopt positons completely consistent with, identical to, and sometimes even simultaneous with the positions of Israel. Those [who strive in the way of Allah] do not care about the blame of any blamer, no matter how intense the media campaign is, nor its momentum, or intimidation, which aim to target them, offend them, and tarnish them. No matter how [intense] the incitement campaigns against them or how varied the abuses directed against them to blame them for their position, to question it, or to offend them for it are, they are steadfast. That is because they are driven by faith and move with insight and guidance from Allah (Glory be to Him). Indeed, they depend on Allah's guidance and take into consideration those real events that that have filled everybody's ears and eyes. Hence, they are steadfast and do not back down.
{'That is Allah’s grace}—such a great honour—{He brings it to whomever He wills, for Allah is All-Embracing, All-Knowing'}. Therefore, there will always be someone to move, yet it is just [that Allah provides such honourable positions] for a person to gain the great honour as s/he seeks to be among those who move and take the honourable position, which He describes in an elegant expression: {'That is Allah’s grace'}. So, a person should seek to obtain this great honour in order to keep away from disgrace, not like those who have brought disgrace upon themselves when they obeyed the Israeli enemy and moved on its side against the people of their Ummah, or those laggards who obeyed it [the Israeli enemy] to stand still, neglect their responsibilities, and play a negative role against whoever moves [against the Israeli enemy].
This helps us recognize the importance of movement and the value of movement: It represents the faith-based motive, the Quranic principle, and the right orientation at the level of human nature, affiliation to faith, and truthfulness with Allah (Glory be to Him). It is a part of our faith-based commitment, and it is a necessity: a necessity that protects the Ummah from Allah's wrath and its enemies' evil.
As for the other options (the options of evading responsibility, freezing, standing still, surrendering, or obeying the enemy), they are all good options but for the enemy; it is very clear that they are for the enemy’s good. For those who believe that the Ummah should remain silent, freeze, do nothing, surrender, adopt no attitude or move against its enemy, and say nothing against it, not even a single word, and for those who believe that the Ummah should form an alliance with the enemy and take its side, such options are not consistent with faith, with human nature, nor with the real interest of the Ummah.
Now, we must move in all fields and at all levels because the battle with the Zionist enemy is an open battle: in the political field, in the media field, in the cultural and intellectual field, in the economic field, and in every field. We must move and adopt a clear position against this enemy.
Also, we must care about the boycott: The boycott of the American and Israeli goods is part of the battle.
Chants and slogans that show enmity against the enemy are also part of what we have to do, part of the position we should take—an important part.
Encouraging, mobilizing, moving in all fields, building strength in all fields (at the military level, at the economic level, and at all levels), and standing up to the enemy's misleading and corruptive conspiracies are [all] part of our battle against the enemy.
Moving to protect the Ummah from the inside (immune it) in order for it not to take the enemies as Auliya and not to stand by the enemies and their proxies, who seek to adapt our Ummah for their use, who implement their conspiracies in the Ummah, and who seek to make the Ummah deviate in its enmity so it directs its enmity against whoever stands up to the Israeli enemy, is of what we must take care of. Talking about this can go longer and longer.
Therefore, it is important for us to commemorate the International Quds Day. It is good that there will be an extensive movement: The occasion is going to be observed in various places and different countries to get Muslims' voice heard. This is the voice that really represents the right position that all Muslims are required to adopt.
As for the others (the silent people and those who call for taking the enemies as Auliya, for establishing an alliance with them, and for standing by them), their position is not consistent with Islam at all nor with the fundamental principles which all Muslims have acknowledged, although some later turned from them publicly.
Thanks to Allah (Glory be to Him), some of the advantages in this stage can be seen through the renaissance that began to occur in the reality of the Ummah, among many of its sons, whether in Yemen, Palestine as seen in what Mujahedin are doing there, Lebanon, Iran, Iraq, Syria, and Bahrain. This renaissance, awareness, cooperation, combined efforts, and coordination is increasing day by day and establishing and enforcing very important equations. This is a great path that unifies the Ummah and its freemen.
Our people, Yemen of faith and wisdom, play a great, principled role in this direction and contribute greatly (Allah willing). We will continue this way, integrating with the free of all our Ummah's sons and cooperating and standing with them in one line and as one hand against the Israeli enemy.
Whatever the endeavours of those who have normalized ties with the enemies and formed alliances with them, and whatever the forms of their war and their targeting methods against us were, we will remain faithful to this principled, moral, and humanitarian position, for it concerns all of us as Muslims.
I call on our dear people to go out tomorrow (Allah willing) and participate in the massive and huge march. It is our hope to see, just as we saw in the past years, a great, remarkable, huge attendance that reflects our people's fundamental character, identity of faith, and the great honor bestowed upon them when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&F) described them saying, 'The belief is that of the Yemenites, and sagacity is that of the Yemenites'. This is an attendance that really reflects a position supportive of Islam, a position that shows responsiveness and is an extension to the position of Ansar, who supported the Messenger of Allah (PBUH&F) in the early days of Islam when many turned their back [on Islam] or turned into enemies against this religion and its principles and values.
I have great hope that you will attend tomorrow afternoon in an effective way, Allah willing.
We ask Allah (Glory be to Him) to grant us success and lead us to what satisfies Him. O Allah (Glory be to You), have mercy on our martyrs, heal the wounded among us, set free our captives, and grant us victory. You are All-Hearing!
O Allah, accept our fast, night prayers, and good deeds. You are All-Hearing!
