SANA'A April 28. 2024 (Saba) - The Presidency of the Shura Council stood in its meeting on Sunday, under the chairmanship of the Speaker of the Council, Mohammed Hussein Al-Aidarous, in front of the latest developments on the national and Palestinian arena and the grave violations committed by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people.
The Commission denounced the continued Arab and international silence in the face of the brutality and terrorism of the usurping entity in Gaza and its intention to complete a new chapter of the war of genocide and forced displacement in Rafah.
The Presidency condemned the use of the veto power by the United States Administration in order to support the Zionist entity to continue its terrorism against the Palestinian people and to confiscate the right of the people of Palestine to establish their independent State.
The Commission called on human rights and humanitarian organizations and the free world to intensify efforts and pressure in international forums by all available means to prevent the occupation army from committing more massacres in Rafah, which shelters about one and a half million displaced Palestinians.
The Commission noted the student protests at American universities in Washington and a number of US states condemning the Israeli war on Gaza.
It denounced the policy of repression and arrests pursued by the US authorities against students, which exposed the falsity of the US administration's slogans about freedom of expression, rights and freedoms.
