JOHANNESBURG April 30. 2024 (Saba) - South Africa said on Tuesday that its country is closely monitoring an investigation that could lead to an International Criminal Court (ICC) arrest warrant for Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Presidential Spokesperson Vincent Magwenya said in a press conference that "Our country expects the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant against 'Netanyahu' during this week."
He added "We closely follow developments related to the potential arrest order, and we will commend any intervention by institutions responsible for protecting international law and securing the lives of citizens while taking these measures."
South Africa reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of international law as one of the member states of the International Criminal Court, adding "We believe that no country or individual should be above international law."
The Zionist enemy continues its war on Gaza despite the Security Council's resolution to immediately cease its aggression, as well as despite the International Court of Justice's instructions to take immediate measures to prevent "genocidal acts" and improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
The current war has caused an unprecedented humanitarian tragedy, as hundreds of thousands of Gaza residents living in extremely difficult conditions due to the lack of water and electricity, and the Zionist enemy authorities preventing humanitarian aid from reaching them.
