BEIJING April 30. 2024 (Saba) - Hamas on Tuesday confirmed that a leading delegation headed by the head of the movement's International Relations Office Musa Abu Marzouk met with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China Dang Li in the Chinese capital, Beijing.
Palestinian Media Center citying Hamas in a statement that the movement's delegation included members of the political bureau, Hussam Badran, Fathi Hammad, Bassem Naim, and a member of the International Relations Bureau, Sharif Abu Shamala.
The delegation held political consultations with Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Dang Li and the ministry's staff to discuss ways to stop the genocide of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, and reviewed the efforts made to reach a ceasefire, the tragic humanitarian situation caused by the Zionist enemy army, and the extent to which China can enhance its urgent humanitarian aid.
The delegation appreciated the Chinese position supporting the Palestinian cause and rejecting the genocide in Gaza, in addition to emphasizing the good Chinese efforts to unite the Palestinian ranks in the face of the occupation and to achieve the hopes and aspirations of the Palestinian people.
For his part, Dang Li expressed his country's firm position on the just Palestinian cause, and their continued efforts to stop the inhumane practices against the Palestinian people, reach a ceasefire, and support the Palestinian people in all international forums.
At the conclusion of the talks, the two sides emphasized the continuation of consultations and work to achieve Palestinian national unity, and China's readiness to provide everything necessary.
