OSLO May 06. 2024 (Saba) - Norwegian Foreign Minister Espin Barth Eide called on the Zionist entity to abandon the possible ground offensive on the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
Eide said in a press statement on Monday: "Israel must abandon its plans to enter the city of Rafah, where more than a million Palestinians have taken refuge."
Eide warned that a possible Zionist attack on Rafah would be a "tragedy" for the residents of the area and "make the provision of humanitarian aid to the Palestinians more difficult and dangerous."
"Gaza is a man-made catastrophe, and words are not enough to describe the hardships endured by its 2.3 million people for more than seven months."
"Every attack that jeopardizes the delivery of critical humanitarian aid to Gaza is a betrayal of Palestinian women and children," Eide said.
