GAZA May 07. 2024 (Saba) - Hamas affirmed on Tuesday that the raid on Rafah Crossing confirms the Zionist enemy's intention to sabotage ceasefire efforts and prisoner exchanges.
Hamas said in a press statement that the enemy army's raid on Rafah border crossing with Egypt at dawn today constitutes a dangerous escalation against a civilian facility protected by international law.
It stressed that "the occupation, by raiding Rafah Crossing, aims to exacerbate the humanitarian situation in the strip by closing it and preventing the flow of emergency relief aid through it to our besieged people who are subjected to a systematic genocide and starvation war by the Nazi occupation."
Israeli enemy vehicles stormed Rafah border crossing at dawn on Tuesday amid intense firing of shells and bullets at its buildings, and carrying out acts of sabotage and destruction inside.
Rafah Crossing - between Palestine and Egypt - is the only crossing for individuals through which Palestinians from the Gaza Strip traveled without the presence of Zionist enemy forces.
The commercial section of the crossing also represents the main artery for the entry of life-saving humanitarian aid amidst the genocide being carried out by the Zionist entity against the Strip.
