DOHA May 07. 2024 (Saba) -Hamas has received three-phased proposals from the Qatari and Egyptian mediators, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement said.
The first stage includes frank commitment to temporary cessation of military operations on the first day, Khalil al-Hiya added in remarks to Al-Jazeera TV.
Through this deal, the Movement would achieve the objectives of ceasefire, IDP return, relief and prisoner swap, he said, noting that they "informed the mediators on our agreement to full ceasefire proposal. The ball is now in the Zionist enemy's court."
"The mediators told us that the US president is frankly committed to guarantee the deal's application," Hiya added.
The proposal's second phase includes direct declaration of lasting cessation to military operations and hostilities, he said.
