MOSCOW May 07. 2024 (Saba) - Russian President Vladimir Putin took the constitutional oath on Tuesday for a fifth presidential term in six years.
Putin said in his speech that his country will remain open to dealing with all countries that it sees as a reliable partner, adding, "We do not refuse to deal with Western countries... except that the hostility they practice against Russia is what hinders that."
He considered that dialogue on strategic security and stability is possible, but not from the logic of power, but rather from the rules of equality, adding, “We will continue to form a multipolar world. We must be self-sufficient, and open new areas for our country, as has happened repeatedly in history, from whose lessons we learn.” always".
Russian President Vladimir Putin won a new six-year presidential term in elections in which four candidates competed, after obtaining 87.28 percent of the voters' votes.
