SANA'A June 26. 2024 (Saba) -The efforts of the Traffic Police Branch, the Public Works and Human Rights Offices, and the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in Taiz Governorate culminated in opening the eastern exit of the People’s Palace Tour Road to alleviate the suffering of citizens to and from the city of Taiz, amid overwhelming joy on the part of the people for Eid al-Adha and the reopening of the roads.
The opening of the roads was a practical translation of the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, al-Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the head of the Supreme Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi al-Mashat, and the leadership of Taiz governorate and the Fourth Military Region, which made unremitting efforts to implement the agreement with the other party.
The acting director of the governorate's traffic, Lieutenant Colonel Fadel Al-Mushki, appreciated the interest and follow-up of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, the leaders of the Ministry of Interior, the local authority in the governorate, traffic police to open roads, enhance traffic safety, and maintain the safety of those coming from the governorates and those entering and from the city of Taiz.
He pointed out that the Traffic Department made great efforts before Eid Al-Adha in organizing traffic routes in conjunction with the opening of the Al-Qasr Road from the city of Taiz and arranging the sorting of buses to reduce congestion, especially for those coming from several governorates.
Lieutenant Colonel Al-Mushki praised the vigilance of the governorate's traffic personnel in raising readiness and discipline to implement the traffic plan, regularize traffic for visitors, and avoid congestion, violations, and accidents during the past days.
He explained that field services have been equipped with patrols to cover the route of Al-Hawban - Al-Qasr tour with the new eastern port of the Al-Qasr - Al-Kamb tour.
He pointed out that work is underway to provide a headquarters for the traffic management of the Sofitel and Al-Qasr tours.
The director of the traffic police branch in the governorate pointed to the traffic awareness work for those coming from the city of Taiz, denying the malicious rumors that are being spread about the traffic in the city of Taiz, arresting a number of people coming from the city and stopping vehicles with temporary license plates.
He added, "We assure everyone that no driver has been arrested or any car or citizen has been intercepted, but they are received with unprecedented friendliness and welcome," stressing that traffic officials are working to streamline movement according to the plan to accompany Eid Al-Adha and cover the new eastern port 24 hours a day with the participation of 100 officers and personnel from the passage of Al-Hawban, Mawiya, and Al-Zikra.
Al-Mushki also confirmed that a sorting of buses for those entering the city of Taiz has been determined in cooperation with the local authority and the transportation office, and in front of September 21 Park, and work is underway to prepare a sorting within days following the agreement with the local authority, and the pricing has been determined by the Transport and Traffic Authority.
He stated that traffic police, based on their religious, national and humanitarian duty, work to provide traffic services with a level of professionalism and high morale.
Meanwhile, the Director of the Public Works and Roads Office in the governorate, Engineer Faisal Mishal, explained that the governorate is witnessing an increase in the number of visitors to and from the city of Taiz, as well as those coming from other governorates since the directives were issued to open the Al-Qasr-Al-Kamb tour route.
He pointed out that an operations room was formed with the participation of the relevant authorities and the concerned executive offices to open the port and remove obstacles and problems.
He indicated that the Public Works Office participated with the Cleaning and Improvement Fund and the Executive Unit to remove approximately ten thousand cubic meters of accumulated dust, barriers and flood waste in the two rounds of Al-Qasr and Sofitel.
Mishal stated that four trucks belonging to the Works, Cleaning and Improvement Department and the Executive Unit, five porters and two GCB trucks with small buckets belonging to the Cleaning Fund contributed to the removal of car bodies and porters from in front of the automated bakery gate and the removal of random markets from the Sofitel and waste round, as well as the removal of 30 boxes and stalls that were obstructing traffic.
He stressed that during the coming days, the lighting and central islands from the Palace round to the Sofitel round will be rehabilitated and repaired, to improve the aesthetic appearance of the main streets and lines.
In turn, the Director of the Human Rights Office in the Governorate, Abdo Al-Bahr, expressed his happiness with the implementation of the initiative of the Leader of the Revolution to open the Al-Qasr - Al-Kamb - Medina tour route, the main artery of the city and the governorates.
He appreciated the role of the leadership of the local authority in the governorate and its efforts in this aspect to alleviate the suffering of citizens, praising the efforts of the security personnel who stayed up all night and worked to overcome the difficulties.
He noted the role of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund and its workers who restored the road’s aesthetic image.
For his part, Director of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund in the Governorate, Talal Al-Sufi, explained that the work undertaken to open the Al-Qasr-Al-Kamb tour road was crowned with the efforts of the relevant authorities from the Fund, the Public Works Office, and the Executive Unit to remove obstacles.
He stressed that the Fund expanded the scope of its work by activating its branches in the directorates by supporting them with equipment and tools, increasing the work of workers and raising the level of their performance.
He pointed out that the number of workers participating in removing waste in the areas of Al-Arbaeen Street and the Sofitel roundabout towards Al-Hawban is more than 200 male and female workers.
Al-Sufi praised the efforts of the cleaning and improvement workers in removing dust and waste in the field, indicating that the Fund is in a state of constant alert, especially the emergency team, which was working around the clock until after the opening of the road and the days of Eid Al-Adha.
Everyone expressed their happiness with the response of the people of the governorate to the steps to open roads and relieve the suffering of the citizens and no opportunity for the American, Saudi and Emirati aggression coalition and its tools to tear apart the national ranks and incite differences between people of the country.
They appreciated the initiative of the Leader of the Revolution, al-Sayyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi and the head of the Supreme Political Council, and the leadership of the local authority in the governorate and the fourth military region in opening roads and working on everything that would alleviate the humanitarian conditions, bring together the social fabric, and restore cohesion and family ties in the governorate and other governorates.
