Hospitals in north of "occupied entity" are preparing for war scenario with "Hezbollah"

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS June 27. 2024 (Saba) - The media of the Zionist enemy revealed today that hospitals in the north of the occupied territories are preparing for a war scenario against "Hezbollah", and are currently completing final preparations.

The Hebrew website Yedioth Ahronoth reported that hospitals have not received specific new instructions in recent days, but last week there was a meeting between senior officials in the Ministry of Health and hospitals during which the preparations were filmed, indicating that hospitals were asked to increase the stock of blood doses so that they would be sufficient for six days instead of four.

He said that there are two scenarios that are the focus of preparation: "Elta" and "the deserted island". The first scenario focuses on long-term power outages that could disrupt hospital operations.

As for the "deserted island" scenario, this means that the injured and workers will not be able to reach the hospital, and the supplies of medical equipment and food will be disrupted.
He reported that in the war scenario, the largest hospital "Rambam" is expected to receive a large portion of the wounded. The hospital has 900 beds in an underground complex, and preparations are underway for the possibility of adding 800 more beds.

Rambam is also preparing for a large-scale evacuation of patients from hospitals in the area, including Carmel Hospital, Bnei Zion Hospital and Bliman Hospital.

The site said that work is underway to complete the construction of an underground hospital attached to Afula Hospital, to which hospital departments are supposed to be evacuated in the event of missiles and drones being launched.

According to Dr. Maor Maiman, the hospital director, preparations for war are being made in several ways, indicating that "we have protected the hospital's vital infrastructure, and we have taken care to increase the stock of protected beds and doubled it from 150 to 300. In addition, we have opened a large protected hospital that will allow for administrative continuity."
