SANA'A June 29. 2024 (Saba) - The Agriculture and Irrigation Office in the Capital Secretariat launched today, Saturday, the planting of the central islands and triangles in a number of main streets with coffee and fruit trees, in coordination with the Supreme Agricultural and Fisheries Committee.

The afforestation process aimed to plant 1,500 coffee trees and 3,000 fruit trees on the central islands and the available spaces in the triangles in the various streets of Capital Secretariat .

Director of the Agriculture Office in the secretariat, Muhammad Hajar, explained that afforestation of the central islands comes within the framework of increasing vegetation cover to preserve the environment , spreading the culture of planting fruit trees , benefiting from them in strengthening programs to advance the agricultural sector and activating its role in providing food security.

He considered this initiative one of the agricultural activities and programs within the directives of the Revolutionary Leadership , the Supreme Agricultural , Fisheries Committee to pay attention to the agricultural sector and encourage the expansion of the cultivation of various crops and fruit trees.
