OCCUPIED AL-QUDS July 03. 2024 (Saba) -
The so-called Zionist Ministry of Health announced in a statement on Wednesday, the death of 11 Zionists and the injury of 153 others with West Nile fever.

The Zionist Ministry confirmed that 153 people had been diagnosed with West Nile fever until today, Wednesday, the third of July 2024.

It stated that most of the patients are from the central region of the Zionist entity.

In general, about 80 per cent of those infected do not show symptoms of West Nile fever, and about 20 per cent of those infected have varying degrees of symptoms, including fever, headache, or widespread body aches and general malaise.

Neurological complications also occur in less than one percent of those affected.

The Zionist Health pointed out that it is important to note that the virus does not spread from person to person and the disease is not transmitted from humans to mosquitoes.

The Israeli Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Environmental Protection announced that over the past week a female mosquito infected with West Nile fever was found in Tel Aviv and in Rishon Lezion in stagnant water samples tested.

The two ministries called on local authorities to cooperate in health eradication campaigns and launched a media campaign to raise awareness of the need to drain stagnant water sites to avoid mosquito breeding.

West Nile fever is a serious disease without medication that may multiply, especially among immunocompromised people, and the disease spreads as a result of mosquito bites infected with the virus that causes the disease.
