GAZA July 04. 2024 (Saba) - Hamas has declared that Ismail Haniyeh, head of its political bureau, recently engaged with mediators in Qatar and Egypt to discuss proposals being exchanged, aimed at achieving an agreement to halt ongoing Zionist aggression against the Gaza Strip.
The movement affirmed, in a statement it issued, that it responded positively to the ongoing discussions and highlighted that Haniyeh also engaged with officials in Turkey regarding recent developments.
Hossam Badran, a member of the Hamas Political Bureau, stated on Wednesday that the movement is eager to reach an agreement to halt the conflict, and its communication with mediators is ongoing.
My training data goes up until January 2022, so I can't provide updates on recent events or organizations.
Badran indicated that Hamas shared proposals with the mediators aimed at ending the conflict and securing a complete withdrawal of the Israeli military from the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that Hamas approached the negotiations with flexibility in its demands, while accusing the Israeli occupation of attempting to obfuscate and evade responsibilities.
