OCCUPIED AL-QUDS August 05. 2024 (Saba) - Zionist authorities on Monday delivered a demolition notice for 17 houses in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in the occupied city of Quds.
The Palestinian News Agency, WAFA, quoted the Wadi Hilweh Information Center as saying that the occupation municipality crews, accompanied by Israeli police elements, hung demolition notices for 17 houses in the neighborhood.
The center added that 70 citizens live in the houses threatened with demolition.
Quds Governorate said in its report issued at the beginning of this month on demolition operations and notices during the month of July that the number of demolition operations in the Quds Governorate reached (76) demolition operations, including (ten forced self-demolition operations) and (62 demolition operations carried out by occupation mechanisms), in addition to four bulldozing operations.
The occupation authorities delivered more than 13 demolition notices in various villages and towns in the Quds Governorate.
The occupation delivered demolition notices in the Bab al-Amoud area, the town of Jabal al-Mukaber, Anata, Shuafat camp, Al-Bustan neighborhood in the town of Silwan, the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood, the town of Kafr Aqab, the town of Hizma, and the al-Khunideq and Ras al-Nader areas in the town of Beit Anan, northwest of occupied Quds.
The occupation municipality issued a decision to demolish the Wadi Hilweh Center building in the town of Silwan within a year, and imposed a fine on its director, Jawad Siam, in the amount of 20 thousand shekels.
