SANA'A August 25. 2024 (Saba) - The parliament has issued a strong condemnation of what it describes as the Arab world's ongoing impotence and collusion with the Israeli occupation, particularly criticizing the recent Qatari-Egyptian mediation efforts.
The parliament accuses these movements of attempting to appease Israel and advancing U.S. demands, which they claim undermine the Doha framework agreement and obstruct peace efforts.
In its statement, the Parliament denounced these actions as a response to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s demands, highlighting their role in perpetuating the conflict and covering up ongoing atrocities against Palestinians.
The statement also expressed disappointment with the Arab world's failure to address the urgent needs of Gaza's population, who are suffering from severe shortages of essential supplies amidst a humanitarian crisis.
The Parliament's statement criticized the resumption of negotiations under the current U.S. proposal, labeling it a futile endeavor that exacerbates the plight of the Palestinian people.
It called on the international community to fulfill its legal, humanitarian, and moral obligations by holding Israeli war criminals accountable and urgently addressing the dire situation in Gaza and other occupied territories.
