NEW YORK August 31. 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations Human Rights Office in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) condemned on Saturday the Zionist attack on Jenin refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.
In a statement, the office demanded an immediate end to the current attack on Jenin refugee camp, stressing that the ongoing attack on the camp and neighboring parts of Jenin city has led to unlawful killings, insecurity of the Palestinian population, and massive destruction of the camp.
The office emphasized that the occupation forces' use of military weapons and tactics contributes to the escalation of violence in the occupied West Bank, noting that the International Court of Justice recently said that Israel's presence in the occupied Palestinian territories is illegal, and called on Israel to end this presence as soon as possible.
