SANA'A-SABA: Finance Minister Abdul-Jabbar Ahmed Mohammed emphasized the significance of free medical camps in reducing the financial strain on impoverished families by offering them complimentary healthcare services.
In his meeting with Brigadier General Dr. Fahd Al-Madoumi, the Director of the Model Police Hospital, and the presence of Fouad Al-Kumaim, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance for the Budget Sector, he highlighted that these camps are viewed as successful health solutions amidst conditions of aggression and siege.
Minister Abdul-Jabbar praised the free medical camp of the Prophet at the Police Model Hospital in Bani Al-Harith district in Sanaa City to coincide with the anniversary of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
He pointed to the keenness of the Ministry of Finance to support the camp, which is one of the humanitarian activities. He urged concerted efforts to make the camp a success and support such trends, which have proven successful during the past period.
The Minister of Finance praised the expansion of medical services provided by the camp in addition to surgeries in a number of important specialties to be performed within the camp's activities.
In turn, the director of the police hospital thanked the Minister of Finance for adopting the contribution to support the camp.
He pointed out that the camp aims to conduct an examination of six to 10 thousand cases in the specialties of "internal medicine, children, women, childbirth, urology, bowel and skin surgery," stressing that 500 different surgeries will be performed.
The camp is supervised by specialized consultants and has modern laboratories and a central pharmacy, he said.
