DAMASCUS – SABA: Syria strongly condemned on Friday the ongoing Zionist crimes in the region, the latest of which was the aggression on the southern suburb of Beirut, noting that the Zionist entity confirms with these crimes its brutality and blatant departure from international legitimacy.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement reported by the Syrian News Agency, "The racist Zionist entity continues to commit its massacres in several parts of the region, especially in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank and Lebanon. Today, the world witnessed a Zionist aggression on the southern suburb of Beirut, which resulted in the martyrdom of many and the wounding of other innocent civilians, not to mention the destruction it caused to the infrastructure there."
It added that these attacks come after the horrific crime committed by the Zionist entity on the Lebanese civil communications system, which constituted another crime that claimed the lives of thousands of Lebanese, between martyrs and wounded.
