BUENOS AIRES - (Saba): An earthquake measuring six on the Richter scale late on Saturday hit the province of San Luis in western Argentina.
The Euro-Mediterranean Earthquake Monitoring Centre said in a statement on Sunday: The San Luis region was hit by a six-magnitude earthquake, which was 129 kilometers below the surface.
There were no immediate reports of human casualties or material injuries as a result of the earthquake.
An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale hit the province of Jujuy in northwestern Argentina in August.
It is noteworthy that last October, an earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale hit the Salta province in Argentina, without any reports of human or material losses.
