SINGAPORE - (Saba): Gold prices stabilized today, Tuesday, after recording their highest level ever in the previous session, following comments from officials at the US Federal Reserve (the central bank) supporting additional interest rate cuts in the future.

According to Reuters, gold recorded in spot transactions about $2625.52 per ounce.. while US gold contracts fell 0.1 percent, recording $2650.30 per ounce.

Among other precious metals, spot silver was steady at $30.66 an ounce, platinum rose 0.4 percent to $960.40 an ounce, and palladium lost 0.6 percent to $1,035.25 an ounce.
