MEXICO - (Saba): Mexico is preparing for the arrival of Hurricane John, Category 3 storm, which intensified on Monday to become a major hurricane.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) warns of destructive winds, strong storms, and floods.
The hurricane is close to land with winds reaching 195 km/h. Mexican authorities have issued warnings to residents from eastern Acapulco to Bahías de Huatulco, and President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has called for coastal preparedness.
