Damascus-Saba: Syria has vehemently condemned the continuous atrocities committed by the Zionist entity, particularly its targeting of a residential area in Beirut's southern suburbs. It emphasized that persisting with these inhumane acts could lead the entire region into a dangerous escalation with unpredictable outcomes.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today: "The Israeli entity continues its brutal war on the countries of the region, in Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria, where it committed Friday evening a new crime against humanity, targeting a residential square in the southern suburbs of the capital, Beirut, which led to the destruction of a number of buildings above the heads of their innocent civilians."
The Foreign Ministry added: "The Syrian Arab Republic condemns in the strongest terms all these ongoing crimes and reaffirms that the Israeli terrorist entity's insistence on bloodshed and the commission of all kinds of war crimes and crimes against humanity will drag the entire region towards a dangerous escalation whose consequences are difficult to predict."
The Foreign Ministry concluded its statement by saying: "Syria condemns the silence of the world in the face of the horror of these crimes, the likes of which humanity has not seen in decades, and reaffirms the right of the peoples of the region to defend themselves in the face of this Israeli terrorist aggression."
