Sana'a - Saba :Despite the strenuous efforts made by international powers to prevent a regional war in the Middle East, war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu and his extremist government are stubbornly against a ceasefire, whether in Lebanon or Gaza.. insisting on moving forward to drag the region into a war with dire consequences, after targeting Hezbollah headquarters with the most violent raids since the 2006 war, which led to the assassination of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, and a number of the party's leaders.

American media reported that the American leadership is very angry with Netanyahu due to his failure to fulfill his promises regarding the possibility of a ceasefire, as France and the United States proposed on Wednesday a 21-day truce in Lebanon to prevent the escalation of tension between the Zionist entity and Hezbollah.

The French-American initiative comes after intensive discussions held on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, and after a bilateral meeting between US President Joe Biden and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.

Despite Netanyahu's initial agreement to sit at the negotiating table, things changed dramatically as soon as he went to New York, where Netanyahu pledged on Friday, at the United Nations General Assembly, to continue military operations against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

According to the British magazine "The Economist", the Zionist entity is studying plans to launch a ground attack on Lebanon, which includes seizing a buffer zone extending a few miles along the Lebanese border with the occupied Palestinian territories.

According to a Zionist reserve officer familiar with the details of the strategy towards Lebanon, "the plans for a ground invasion are ready, but the entity does not yet have enough forces here to implement those plans," indicating that "Israel" may be in the preparation and readiness phase for a large-scale military operation.

With the assassination of Mr. Nasrallah, the region is entering a new phase of political and military escalation, which may have profound repercussions on the internal policies of countries and their alliances. This pivotal event heralds radical transformations in the political, military and security landscape of the region, and may reshape the map of regional alliances and conflicts.

It seems that with this assassination, the region has entered a new turning point that heralds the possibility of a comprehensive regional war, as the axis of resistance will not stand idly by and the possibility of a strong and harsh response is highly expected.

The treacherous assassination came just hours after Netanyahu's speech before the United Nations, raising questions about the credibility of US diplomatic efforts to calm tensions in the region, especially in light of the ongoing aggression.

The assassination of Sayyed Nasrallah was not the first of its kind, as it was preceded by the assassination of the head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran, which also came at a time when US diplomatic efforts were aimed at a ceasefire.

The recent Zionist operation brings back to the fore the debate over the extent to which the Zionist entity respects international law and the national sovereignty of neighboring countries.

With the repeated claims of "Israel's" right to defend itself, the United States and Western countries turn a blind eye to the ongoing crimes committed by the usurping entity against the Palestinians and others in the region.

In light of the ongoing Zionist aggression on Gaza, which is approaching the completion of its first year, the ambiguity is increasing regarding the possible response of the axis of resistance, especially after the loss of its most important leaders, and whether this axis will maintain its cautious position and refuse to be dragged into a comprehensive regional war, or whether the assassination of Nasrallah will hasten a large-scale military response.

Violent explosions rocked the southern suburbs of the capital Beirut, and the Zionist enemy targeted the Haret Hreik area with bunker-busting bombs weighing one ton (2,000 pounds) to strike the targeted area, which led to buildings being completely leveled to the ground within Hezbollah's security square.

Since last week, the suburb has witnessed assassinations targeting elite Hezbollah leaders, in major strikes reinforced by the possibility of a major security breach within the party, especially since they came days after the bombing of thousands of pagers and walkie-talkies used by its members, which left dozens dead, including civilians, in addition to 1,500 members of the party being injured in their eyes and hands.
