Gaza - Saba: Nidal Abu Mustafa
The director of the ambulance department at Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, Fares Afaneh, confirmed that the Zionist enemy forces fired on ambulances and prevented them from entering the north Gaza Strip to transport the martyrs and wounded who fell in light of the escalating Zionist aggression on the region.
Dr. Afaneh said, in a special statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) on Friday: "Since the beginning of this Zionist aggression seven days ago, we have received distress signals, by citizens trapped near enemy vehicles, but the Zionist enemy forces are shooting at ambulances and preventing them from entering these injured martyrs and transporting them."
He added: "A short while ago, we tried to enter the Bir al-Naaja area, and the civil defense and medical teams recovered a family from the Abu Saqr family, and were able to get them out."
He continued: "Also, the "Nabhan family" was targeted three hours ago, and this family whose husband took her to the doctor to give birth to her fetus and during their return home they were targeted as soon as they entered their house by the Zionist aircraft.
He pointed out that a distress signal was received and went to them despite the danger that existed, so they were surprised that the fetus, 11 hours old, was injured, her father was martyred and her mother was injured, and her brother-in-law was elevated and another elderly woman was injured, and the injured were entered and taken out only because there were only two ambulances that entered this place and kept the martyrs.
Dr. Afaneh said at the end of his statement: "As I speak to you, another ambulance was taken out to bring the martyrs, but it was shot by the Zionist enemy forces, which led to the failure of its tires, then we went to get the two martyrs from the road and try to repair the ambulance in light of this suffocating siege on the northern Gaza Strip.
