The Ministry of Transport and Public Works, represented by the Road Maintenance Fund and the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges, honored today former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Dr. Rashid Aboud Abu Lahoum in recognition of his efforts and role in the success work of the Fund and the Corporation during the past period.
During the ceremony, Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Ayyash Qahim praised the role of Dr. Abu Lahoum in overcoming difficulties in front of the Fund and the Corporation, which reflected positively on the level of implementation of projects in various provinces.
He stressed the keenness to continue working to enhance the performance of the Fund , the Foundation and expand their activities to meet the country's needs for road and bridge projects, which represent a main pillar of development and an important part of the country's infrastructure.
The Finance former Minister pointed out that the efforts made in addressing the issues facing the work of the Road Maintenance Fund made its services reach all provinces in a record period. He expressed thanks to the Ministry leadership , the Fund and the Foundation for this generous gesture.
The head of the Road Maintenance Fund, Engineer Nabil Al-Heifi, and the head of the General Corporation for Roads and Bridges, Engineer Abdulrahman Al-Hadhrami, reviewed many of the success stories achieved by the Fund and the Corporation in terms of implementing road and bridge projects, thanks to the support of the Finance former Minister .
They pointed out the qualitative leap that the organization and the fund have undergone in terms of work plans, performance , the purchase of equipment and assets during the past years, after they had reached a critical situation in the early years of the aggression and blockade against Yemen.
