Florida - Saba:
NASA's "Europa Clipper" mission has begun its journey towards Jupiter's moon, Europa, to determine if it contains elements needed for life in an ocean of liquid water.
Launched via SpaceX's Falcon Heavy rocket, the mission aims to determine Europa's habitability, the likelihood of life-supporting components.
The mission will not directly search for signs of life but will determine the structure and composition of Europa's icy surface, ocean depth, and salinity.
The probe will travel 2.9 billion kilometers over five and a half years, with the main mission lasting four years.
The mission, which has cost 5.2 billion US dollars, will involve 49 close flybys and intense radiation.
