The Iranian president late on Tuesday congratulated the Lebanese government and all the resistance mujahedeen for electing Sheikh Naeem Qassem as a secretary-general of Hezbollah.
Undoubtedly, defending Lebanon, its territorial integrity, noble values of the resistance and the Palestinian people has its historical significance in this critical condition, President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a letter to Sheikh Qassem, according to IRNA.
He hoped that the Islamic unity and support from Muslims and the high-principled around the World would lead to an end to the Zionist illegal aggression and bring about peace in Gaza, Lebanon and the whole region.
