Sana'a - Saba:
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicted varying intensity of rainfall on the Gulf of Aden and the coasts of the southern and eastern governorates, and sea turbulence during the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that it is expected that rains of varying intensity, some of them thunderstorms, will fall on the Gulf of Aden and the coasts of Al-Mahra, Hadramawt, Shabwa, Abyan, Aden, Lahj and their interior areas.
The rain may fall on separate parts of the plateaus and the governorates of Lahj, Al-Daleh, Taiz, Ibb and Rima, and later extend to parts of the deserts of Al-Mahra, Hadramawt and Shabwa governorates.
According to the center, the sea is likely to be disturbed west of the Socotra archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, the eastern and southern coasts, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab and the southern Red Sea.
He explained that during the past 24 hours, 30 mm of rain fell on Al-Mukalla, and during the past two days, rain of varying intensity fell in parts of the Socotra Archipelago, Al-Mahra, Hadramawt and Gulf of Aden governorates.
The center warned citizens against being in the valleys and torrential streams, and the low horizontal visibility due to rain and fog, especially on mountain roads, and from crossing land bridges when torrents flow.
The center also warned sea-goers and fishermen west of the Socotra archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, the eastern and southern coasts, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and the southern Red Sea of sea turbulence and high waves.
