The educational sector in the Capital Secretariat and the Civil Defense Department launched on Saturday an awareness campaign on security , safety procedures and requirements in private schools in Azal, Safiya, Tahrir and Old Sana'a districts.
At the launch, the Undersecretary of the Civil Defense Department, Major General Hussein Abdul Qader, stressed that this campaign comes as part of the department's plan to enhance public security and safety aspects of all public , private sector facilities and institutions.
He explained that the campaign aims to raise the awareness and culture of educational staff on ways to prevent fires, accidents, disasters and emergencies, in order to achieve public security and safety in all educational institutions and schools.
The directors of public relations at the department, Colonel Khaled Al-Sharahi, and the educational district in Azal, Ali Al-Hijazi, and the head of the Studies and Research Center in Ansar Allah Executive Office, Sharaf Al-Wadaei, discussed the importance of the commitment of private school principals to provide security and safety requirements to ensure the protection of students and educational staff from any emergency incidents.
They stressed the importance of forming , qualifying security and safety teams within schools in all educational areas in the directorates of the Secretariat, and sensitizing all students to general safety guidelines.
