In the case of the assassination of Ibrahim al-Houthi, the specialized criminal division in the Capital Sana'a, led by Judge Abdullah Ali al-Najjar, has completed the necessary procedures regarding all the accused.
The court allowed the defendant, Arafat al-Haidari, to submit his appeal petition. The Public Prosecution requested that the case be reserved for judgment, and the court has scheduled a postponement until next Sunday to finalize the trial procedures.
The case involves 30 defendants charged with participating in the kidnapping and killing of Ibrahim Badr al-Din al-Houthi and Mohammed Hussein al-Badr, as well as collaborating with the Saudi government to undermine Yemen's political and military stability.
In a previous ruling, the division convicted 10 defendants, sentencing one to death by firing squad and others to prison terms ranging from five to ten years.
One defendant was acquitted for lack of evidence, and the property related to the crime was confiscated. Additionally, in another ruling, the Specialized Criminal Court sentenced 16 defendants to death and three others to prison terms ranging from three to ten years.
As for Adnan Ali Hussein al-Harazi, the director of "Prodigy Systems " company, he was convicted for illegal communication with a foreign country, resulting in a death sentence.
The defense has been granted an opportunity to review and respond to the prosecution's comments in a future session.
