Sana'a - Saba:

The Parliament, in its session held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of Yahya al-Ra'i, approved the report of the development, oil and Mineral Resources Committee, on the damage and losses suffered by the Yemeni oil company facilities as a result of the bombing of the Israeli enemy aircraft on Hodeida province.

This came after the commitment of the government side represented by the minister of oil and minerals Dr. Abdullah al-Amir in the presence of undersecretary of the Ministry of education and scientific research Dr. Ghalib al-Qanes, acting executive general manager of the oil company Eng. Mohammed al-Lakomi, director general of the General Organization of oil and gas Eng. Mahmoud Salem, by implementing the following recommendations:

1-the government of change and construction should address the international community and international organizations on the scale of destruction, damage and human and material losses caused by the Israeli enemy's bombing of oil facilities in the port of Hodeida Ras Issa, and file lawsuits locally and abroad to hold the Israeli enemy accountable for the crimes committed by bombing civilian facilities and sites, and demand compensation and return what was destroyed.

2-the Ministry of oil and minerals represented by the Yemeni oil company should work as follows:

A. Searching for safe storage places and sites and providing a large reserve stock of Petroleum materials to face any crisis or bottlenecks that may occur in oil derivatives in the local market, where our country is still under war and siege by the countries of the aggression coalition.

P. Finding other alternatives to the process of unloading oil derivatives in order to avoid any damage and human and material losses that may result from any targeting by the aggression.

C. The speed of providing the rest of the devices and equipment for checking oil derivatives instead of those that were destroyed by the Israeli enemy aircraft, because of their importance for checking oil derivatives that are imported from abroad to ensure their compliance with the specifications and standards specified by the company.

Dr. Completion of the preparation of the final report on the damage and losses caused by the air strikes carried out by the Israeli enemy aircraft on the Yemeni oil company facility in the port of Ras Isa and provide the development, oil and Mineral Resources Committee of the council with a copy of that.

In a related context, the Parliament approved the report of the committee of education and scientific research on the level of implementation of the Ministry of education and scientific research of the recommendations of the council on the general policy of coordination and admission for the academic year 2021/2022.

This came after the commitment of the government side represented by the minister of education and scientific research Hassan al-Saadi in the presence of the government side and a number of specialists in the relevant authorities to implement the following recommendations :

1-the need for the government to commit to serious follow-up of universities and ensure the extent of their implementation of the council's recommendations in full and identify the recommendations that have failed to be implemented, the reasons for the failure and what the Ministry of education and scientific research has taken on this.

2-the need for the Ministry of education and scientific research to follow up the progress of the educational process at universities in accordance with the tasks and powers of the ministry specified in the laws and regulations in force, and to ensure the extent of universities ' compliance with the laws, regulations, controls and conditions determined by the general policy of coordination and admission.

3-the importance of universities ' compliance with the laws and regulations in force and the instructions issued by the ministry, which aims to address the shortcomings and imbalances suffered by some universities in order to contribute to the development of the educational process and the improvement of Higher Education outputs in various Yemeni public and private universities .

4- the Parliament emphasizes the importance of continuing to hold meetings of the Supreme Council of higher education and Student Affairs Councils at universities, in accordance with the laws and regulations in force, and reviewing the regulations and regulations related to student affairs with regard to the issue of clearing and the speed of preparation of regulations related to parallel education fees and special expenses.

The Parliament had listened to the memorandum of the Prime Minister of the Government of Change and Construction, Ahmed al-Rahwi, regarding his apology for not being able to attend the session set by the the Parliament due to his preoccupation with other tasks.

The Parliament approved his request, confirming his attendance at the session next Sunday.

In addition, the Parliament listened to the response of Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Abdullah al-Amir to the question directed to him by the member of the Parliament Najib al-Warqi, regarding the oil company fencing off land belonging to citizens in Dhamar province without any legal justification.

In turn, the Minister of Oil and Minerals denied that the company had acquired any land belonging to citizens, explaining that the land was purchased in accordance with the recognized principles, and expressed the Ministry's readiness to do justice to anyone who proves any right to the lands referred to in the question of the member of al-Warqi.

Al-Warqi followed by providing a brief overview of the background of that land and asking the citizens to resolve the dispute and sort out what belongs to the state and what belongs to the citizens.

The Parliament agreed to give the Minister a period of time to resolve the issue and inform the Parliament of the outcome results.
