Sana'a - Saba:
A meeting chaired by Social Affairs and Labor Minister Samir Bajaaleh and including Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Abdul Wahid Abu Ras discussed on Tuesday aspects of coordination between the two ministries regarding the technical committee to unify the efforts of international and local organizations.
During the meeting, they agreed on a work mechanism and a matrix of tasks that promote relief and humanitarian work and overcome difficulties for local organizations, associations and cooperatives, which benefit many segments of society.
The Social Affairs Minister stressed the importance of unifying efforts in accordance with the competencies of the two ministries regarding the work of international and local community organizations.
Minister Bajaala pointed out that the partnership between the ministry and the organizations reflects the leadership's directives , the government to serve the issues and needs of the community.
For his part, the Deputy Foreign Minister stressed the importance of harmonizing the work of international , local organizations and working as one team to serve the community.
He pointed to the need to enhance oversight and transparency in the work of international organizations and local community organizations.
At the meeting, which was attended by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for International Cooperation Ismail Al-Mutawakel, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs for Welfare Yasser Sharafuddin reviewed the tasks and vision of the National Program to Address Begging and the economic empowerment projects it has implemented with funding from the Public Authority for Zakat.
He explained that the program works according to strategic plans to address begging, starting from studying social cases, then training , rehabilitation on life skills and entrepreneurship, to economic empowerment by granting projects to beneficiaries with white loans.
