More than 60 members of the British House of Commons and members of seven parties sent a letter to British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, calling for comprehensive sanctions on the Zionist enemy in light of its repeated violations of international law in Gaza.
The letter from British MPs comes after a separate decision by the International Court of Justice last week to issue arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant on charges of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
The letter stressed that the ruling of the International Court of Justice imposes clear obligations on Britain "to take steps to prevent trade or investment relations that help maintain the illegal situation created by Israel in the occupied territories."
It also called for refraining from entering into any economic or commercial deals with "Israel" related to the occupied territories, "which may strengthen its illegal presence there."
