Prime Minister Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Rahwi, Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water Dr. Ali Saif, and Capital Governor Dr. Hamoud Obad inaugurated on Monday a number of development and service projects in the Capital Secretariat on the occasion of the 57th Independence Day on November 30.
Al-Rahwi, Saif and Obad, along with Deputy Minister of Electricity and Water Adel Bader and Undersecretary for Works and Projects Engineer Abdul Karim Al-Houthi, inaugurated solar water production projects, cumulative tanks and water network projects to reduce operational expenses in accordance with the program of the Government of Change and Construction.
They heard from the Director General of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in the Secretariat, Engineer Mohammed Madas, an explanation about the projects implemented by the Corporation, the operation of 15 wells with solar energy and the start of implementation of other projects at a total cost of two billion, 287 million and 295 thousand riyals, at a total cost of two billion, 287 million and 295 thousand riyals.
The Prime Minister, the Electricity, Energy and Water Minister the Secretary of the Capital and the Deputy Minister of Electricity and Water were briefed on the water projects under implementation from the reservoirs of the cultural center water network, as well as the projects to connect the water network in Beit Ma'ad, Al-Naqib and Al-Sad neighborhoods, their locations, reservoir capacity, total cost, and the number of beneficiaries.
They inspected the progress and level of achievement of the solar power plant project in Dhahban, which is implemented by the General Electricity Corporation at a cost of 1,868,000 dollars, funded by the Capital Secretariat.
The Prime Minister praised the efforts of the Ministry of Electricity, Energy and Water in coordination with the Capital Secretariat in implementing projects that meet the needs of citizens in the areas and districts of the Secretariat, as well as the Ministry's efforts in this field in a number of provinces.
He stressed the need to move the wheel of development work, improve electricity and water services, and contribute to confronting epidemics and diseases. He stressed the interest of the Revolution Leader , Sayyed Abdul Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, the President of the Supreme Political Council and their support for the implementation of projects that serve the citizen and reduce the burden on him.
For his part, the Secretary of the Capital praised the support of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council and the Council of Ministers for the efforts and plans of the Secretariat in implementing service and development projects, improving water, sanitation and electricity services, and alleviating the suffering of the residents of the capital.
The Deputy Minister of Electricity and Water emphasized the importance of completing the implementation of water and sanitation projects in the capital, based on the directives of the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council to harness all efforts and capabilities to provide clean drinking water to citizens.
