Sana'a - Saba:

The Chairmanship of the Shura Council, chaired by Mohammed Hussein Al-Aidaroos, held a meeting on Monday to discuss the latest local and regional developments.

The Council extended its congratulations to the Yemeni armed forces for their recent operations in support of Palestine, including a hypersonic missile attack on a vital target in Jaffa and the targeting of an American destroyer and supply ships in the Arabian Sea and Gulf of Aden with ballistic and winged missiles, along with drones.

The Council reaffirmed its full support for the Palestinian people and their resistance, calling for the continuation of efforts until the aggression against Palestine ends and the siege on Gaza is lifted.

Additionally, the Chairmanship praised the Government of Change and Construction for its efforts to address the nine-year salary interruption for state employees and retirees caused by the ongoing conflict.

The Council also commended the people in the occupied southern provinces for their participation in the 57th anniversary of Yemen's independence, emphasizing the rejection of foreign occupation and guardianship.

In its discussions, the Chairmanship condemned the recent terrorist operations in Syria, which it claimed were part of Zionist-American plans aimed at undermining Syria's stability due to its support for Palestine.

The Council expressed full solidarity with Syria in its fight against terrorist organizations.

Further, the Council reviewed a report on domestic tourism, highlighting its importance and the challenges it faces.

The report was approved, stressing the need for coordination with local authorities to develop tourism plans and restore war-damaged archaeological sites.

The Council also discussed measures to promote Yemen's rich cultural and historical heritage through media and tourism exhibitions.

Finally, the Council reviewed a report on its committees' achievements for the first quarter of 1446 AH, urging members to continue community outreach and field visits to address local issues effectively.
