A meeting at the Office of Social Affairs and Labor in Taiz Governorate discussed today, a meeting chaired by the Undersecretary for Development Affairs, Abdul Wasa Al-Shamsi, ways to promote the cooperative and developmental work of associations and activate the role of follow-up and periodic evaluation of them.

The meeting, which included the Director of the Office of Social Affairs and Labor, Majid Al-Barakani, the official of the agricultural sector in the governorate, Engineer Abdullah Al-Jundi, and the coordinator of the central region of the Bonyan Foundation, Hamza Minsky, stressed the submission of monthly and periodic reports from associations to the Office of Social Affairs.

He urged the development of a plan to follow up on the progress of work, and evaluate the level of performance and achievement in the implementation of projects, noting the importance of implementing visits to cooperative societies, in a way that contributes to identifying weaknesses and working to support associations to start implementing projects.

The meeting, in the presence of the Deputy Director of the Office of Social Affairs for Cooperatives and Associations Affairs, Qaed Al-Nahhal, stressed the importance of teamwork, cooperation and support of the preparatory committees of the associations of Sharaab Al-Salam, Al-Rouneh, Al-Masrakh, Al-Mawadim, and Mawia, to complete the procedures for collecting contributions and publicizing associations in them, to keep pace with work to achieve the aspirations of work in the agricultural sector.
