Hodeida - Saba:
The General Al-Thawra Hospital Authority and 21 September Hospital in Al-Salakhana, and the health center in Al-Sukhna District, Al Al-Hodeida Governorate, received a shipment of anti-diarrheal medications today, provided by the Bint Al-Hodeida Development Foundation.
During the delivery at the General Al-Thawra Hospital Authority, Deputy Chairman Dr. Abdu Obeid and Director of the Health and Environment Office Dr. Walid Al-Imad praised the foundation's role in supporting the health sector's needs in the governorate, noting that the medications will be distributed to patients for free.
Bint Al-Hodeida Foundation's Executive Director Hanan Bamshmous explained that the medication shipment, valued at $29,000 and supported by the Spanish organization Pharma Mundi, is part of a rapid response project to alleviate cases of watery diarrhea in the governorate.
She mentioned that prior to the medication delivery, training sessions were organized for about 30 healthcare workers to equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle acute watery diarrhea cases, including prevention and infection control according to the approved treatment protocol.
